The Margaret Hance Photograph Collection contains over 1400 loose photographs of various sizes in addition to several photo albums. Although most of the photographs date to the years Hance served as the mayor of Phoenix (1976-1984), some of the collection also represents the years she served as a presidential campaign manager to Ronald Reagan and George Bush.

The bulk of the collection documents Hayden's activities as an United States Senator from Arizona from 1940 to 1968.
