Abstract

This collection houses a variety of color photographs taken by Herb and Dot McLaughlin between 1940 and 1986. The majority of these images are positive transparencies ranging in size from 2" x 2" to 8" x 10"; some color prints are also included. Most of the photographs were taken in Arizona, but Alaska, Montana, Utah, Colorado, and Mexico are also represented prominently.

The Albert J. Ross Photographs include negatives, copies of original negative envelopes, and, for a very limited number of images, prints depicting scenes of everyday life in Arizona, Texas, Ohio, and Tennessee. A small number of postcards are included as well. These materials date from 1907 to 1966 with the bulk of images falling in the range of 1907 to around 1930.
