The Dorothy Fulwiler Robinson Papers consist of diaries, correspondence, manuscripts, news clippings, and printed matter dating from 1891 to 1971. The bulk of the collection houses Robinson's diaries and manuscripts on Arizona history dating from 1940 to 1968.

Biographical Note

Dorothy Fulwiler Robinson, educator, librarian, and author, was born to William Henry and Grace (Perley) Robinson in 1895. She earned her Bachelors (1925) and Masters (1928) degrees from the University of Southern California and later attended Arizona State University. She was designated an honorary member of the ASU Class of 1965.

Robinson worked as a librarian at the Payne Training School at Arizona State University and authored a number of works on Arizona and Tempe history, including Boys' and Girls' Arizona (1932), Poems about Arizona (circa 1950), A History of Early Tempe (circa 1959), Geographical Background of Arizona (1963), and Navajo Indians Today (1966). Robinson died in 1982.
