Series I: Arizona includes materials used and collected by Jack Pfister during his research on Arizona history, politics, and other topics.

Series II: Cultural Diversity – Minority Recruiting/Retention includes materials used and collected by Jack Pfister while working in academia and specifically at Arizona State University.

Series III: People of Interest includes materials used and collected by Jack Pfister during his research, writing, and speaking about Arizona's political history.

Series IV: Publications includes materials used and collected by Jack Pfister during his research. Among these materials are dissertations/theses, journal articles/news letters, reports, and works by Pfister. Due to poor reproduction, photocopies of the St. John's Herald and Apache Review dated 1886 to 1892 were discarded during processing.

Series V: Miscellaneous includes other materials used by Jack Pfister during his work researching, writing, and speaking about Arizona's political history.
