Abstract

This collection houses 95 photographs showing locomotives, railway lines, and train stations around Arizona. Among the subjects depicted are train stations in Tempe and Mesa; the American Freedom Locomotive; the Santa Fe roundhouse being demolished, and trains and locomotives from the Southern Pacific, B & O, Santa Fe, Apache, and Arizona Magma Railroads. Also included are three images of tombstones in Sunset, Arizona.

Abstract This collection consists primarily of a scrapbook that Lenore Warner describes as a disjointed account with appropriate pictures of some of the most interesting things that I saw or heard about during my trip to and sojurn in Prescott Arizona. She began her trip in La Junta, Colorado and traveled south on the Santa Fe Railroad through the Raton Pass into New Mexico.
