Magma Copper Company

This artificial collection consists primarily of views of Douglas and Phoenix, Arizona, including photographs of the 1901 Capitol dedication parade in Phoenix.

This collection houses reports and research compiled by Douglas E. Kupel during his historic preservation work. This collection has not been processed in full and can be viewed only by appointment. Contact Archives and Special Collections for more information.

This collection houses 163 silver gelatin-chloride prints and 17 silver gelatin Cirkut panoramas documenting the Magma Copper Company's smelter in Superior, Arizona.

This collection contains personal papers, minutes, agendas, membership lists, correspondence, conference materials, newspaper and journal articles, newsletters, interviews, and video and audio tapes documenting Don Shelton's work at Magma Copper Company between 1965 and 1998. Of particular interest are the materials documenting changes in the company and local unions at both of Magma's branches (San Manuel and Pinto Valley).
