Last 48-star flag flown over the west front of the U.S. Capitol on 1959 July 3. It was originally given to Carl Hayden by the Architect of the US Capitol J. George Stewart. Hayden gifted the flag to Sisson in 1969 after his service as a Legislative Assistant.
