South Mountain, 1983-1985

This collection consists primarily of the records of the joint City of Phoenix-Arizona State University Grant from 1983-1985 and is arranged in five series.

Series 1, Planning Project Grant Files, is comprised of eight folders containing incomplete quarterly reports regarding operation of the grant, survey questionnaires, attendance records of village planning committees, budget reports from 1983-1986, graduate student practicum information, and miscellany that includes interview schedules, invoices, payroll documents, correspondence, and agendas.

Series 2, Administrative Reports, consists of four folders which include materials addressing goals formulation, the General Plan for Phoenix 1985-2000 of March 1987, the Phoenix Concept Plan 2000 of 1979, and the Village Planning Handbook of 1983.

Series 3, Camelback East Files, contains thirteen folders of materials. Included within this group are minutes of the Village Planning Committee and other documents addressing various aspects of planning such as transportation and land use.

Series 4, Village Planning Committees Minutes, contains the minutes of the other eight Village Planning Committees (one folder per committee).

Series 5, Miscellany, includes two folders with various documents. Included are the Open Space Plan for the Phoenix Mountains, Vacant Land Survey (1984), two papers submitted for the City of the 21st Century Conference (1988), various planning implementation documents, and miscellaneous printed materials.
