Scope and Content Note

The Rose Minetti Papers includes research collected by Ms. Minetti while completing her 1995 Master's thesis entitled "Description, Analysis and Interpretations of One High School Art Classroom on the Navajo Reservation" at Arizona State University. The bulk of the collection dates from 1980 to 1995. The papers includes a copy of Rose Minetti's thesis and graduate paperwork. Ms. Minetti's thesis is a microethnography of a Navajo high school art classroom. This collection includes slides and photographs Rose took while at the high school, informal student interviews she conducted, and readings and research articles.

To view this collection, please contact Ask an Archivist or call (480) 965-4932 at least five days in advance. Appointments in the Wurzburger Reading Room at Hayden Library (rm. 138) on the Tempe campus are available Monday through Friday. Patrons can also arrange to view this collection at the Labriola National American Indian Data Center (rm. 305) at Fletcher Library on the West campus. Biographical Note

Rose Minetti was an exhibit curator at the Arizona State University Library from 1990-2006. Ms. Minetti was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1943. She received her BA from Rutgers University and her MA from Arizona State University. Rose lives in Arizona and Southern Delaware and the desert and the ocean are sources of inspiration for her art work. roseminettiart.blogspot.com
