Series VI: News-Sections
Scope and Content Note
This collection houses the American Indian Student Support Services administrative papers, recruitment and retention programs, student surveys, reports, newspaper clippings, CDs, and floppy disks. It has been divided into ten series.
Series I: Historical Background is composed of Peterson Zah and Calbert Cal
Seciwa biographies; the founding members of the American Indian Institute.
Series II: Administrative consists of correspondence, strategic planning, meeting notes, proposals, agreements, newsletters, program resources, cultural resources, reports, handbooks, manuals, and floorplans.
Series III: Student Enrollment is composed of recruitment, retention, scholarship, surveys, and academic honors certificate awards.
Series IV: Events consists of the pow-wow at Arizona State University, the American Indian Convocation, conferences, tabling, and flyers.
Series V: Programs is composed of the Native American Achievement Program, American Indian Institute, American Indian Convocation, Graduate Pathways, Natives Connecting, American Indian Student Support Services Scholar Circle Series, Spirit, Cal Seciwa Leadership Banquet, Indigenous Sun Devil Transfer Program, Mentor U, Cultural Lecture Series, American Indian Student Support Services Graduate Support Center, American Indian Studies 494 Cultural Professionalism, Native American Summer Institute, and Ms./Mr. Indian Arizona State University.
Series VI: Photos/Brochures consists of Ms./Mr. Indian Arizona State University, Graduate Pathways, American Indian Convocation, American Indian Student Support Services, and Native American Achievement Program.
Series VII: Newspaper Clippings is composed of ASU Insight, azcentral, and The State Press.
Series VIII: CDs and Floppy Disk consists of American Indian Convocation photos, brochures, posters, PowerPoints, reports, and floppy disk player.

Access Restrictions
Culturally sensitive Native American materials located in this collection, specifically boxes 4 and 5, are restricted and cannot be made available to patrons in accordance with the Protocols for Native American Archival Materials
To view this collection, please contact Ask an Archivist or call (480) 965-4932 at least five days in advance. Appointments in the Wurzburger Reading Room at Hayden Library (rm. 138) on the Tempe campus are available Monday through Friday. Patrons can also arrange to view this collection at the Labriola National American Indian Data Center (rm. 305) at Fletcher Library on the West campus.
