Scope and Content Note
The Inspiring Voices Video Library contains 22 DVDs regarding the Inspiring Voices education and career outreach program. The DVDs contain video interviews with Native American professionals from a variety of fields invited to speak to participants in the Inspiring Voices program. The professionals were interviewed by youth in grades 6 to 9 and address their cultural backgrounds, education, lines of work, and life skills. Interviews are approximately 15 minutes long and discuss goal setting and problem solving, identifying and using social support systems, communication skills, self-advocacy, and envisioning and planning beyond high school. DVDs were produced in 2008 with editor Paula Veach Stone and videographer Alex Delgadillo; the soundtrack is Crossing the Borders
by Casper Lamoyesva.

Appointments in the Wurzburger Reading Room at Hayden Library (rm. 138) on the Tempe campus are available Monday through Friday.
