Scope and Content Note

The Marina McIsaac Papers contain slides, teaching aides, and research papers. The collection is divided into two series.

Series I: Audio-Visual contains slides, filmstrips, and teachers' guides. This series is arranged alphabetically by folder title.

Series II: Research contains research articles on a variety of topics, including photography, semiology, and educational media theory. Materials in this series have been arranged alphabetically by paper title.

Biographical Note

Marina Stock McIsaac is Professor Emeritus of Educational Media and Computers at Arizona State University. She taught and conducted research in computer applications related to education, telecommunications, and distance education. Her research focused on the application of technology to distance learning, particularly in cross-cultural settings.

She has been the recipient of two Fulbright Senior Scholar awards to lecture and conduct research on distance education and educational technology at Anadolu University. McIsaac has directed research and sponsored projects, most recently as College of Education coordinator for the Fellowship Training Project for the Turkish Ministry of Education through a grant administrated by Ohio State University and Arizona State University. She has also been a Project Leader in designing a multimedia instructional unit on Media Selection for a collaborative venture between Arizona State University and Intel Corporation: the Intel-ASU Multimedia Partnership.
