Scope and Content Note
The David W. Holroyd Papers include: correspondence, contact lists, notes, newspaper and periodical articles, theatre reviews, programs, flyers, production and exhibit photographs, an exhibit invitation, an audio cassette tape, color exhibit slides and a project notebook. All of the materials describe productions and programming at The King-Coit School and Children's Theatre in New York City. Of note are: the contents of a notebook containing the completed Independent Project that Holroyd compiled for Dr. Jed Davis' class at the University of Kansas; correspondence between Holroyd and Dorothy Coit and others; and photographs taken by Holroyd at The King-Coit Children's Theatre exhibition at the Vincent Astor Gallery in the New York Public Library in May 1979. Bulk dates are 1921-1927 and 1970-1979. Materials are housed in the following groupings: research project overview, King-Coit School and Children's Theatre history, correspondence, productions, New York Public Library exhibit and project notebook.
