These reports were created by graduate students for their final project in Dr. Daniel Arreola's Cultural Geography: Qualitative Methods (GCU 591). Series I: Graduate Student Reports contains observations, reports, and city information materials. Series II: Mexican American Restaurants consists of written summaries of each restaurant and the menus, fliers, place mats, business cards, and photographs that the students collected.

Historical Note
During the Hispanic Identity Project in Dr. Daniel Arreola's Cultural Geography: Qualitative Methods (GCU 591), students were asked to evaluate Mexican American restaurants in Mesa and Tempe, Arizona as a qualitative data source on the topic Mexican American Identity
. During the spring of 1998, students prepared summaries of each restaurant and collected menus, fliers, place mats, and business cards. Students also took interior and exterior photographs of selected restaurants.
