Historical Note
La Mujer, Inc. is a non-profit Mexican American women's organization founded in Phoenix in 1981. It is dedicated to empowering Latinas and strives to provide members with opportunities to contribute their ideas, expertise, and interest. La Mujer believes that women can share skills, combine talents, influence community change, and provide a base for personal and professional growth by networking and drawing on available resources.
