This collection houses 169 images used in an exhibit documenting Mexican-American life in Arizona between 1895 and 1987 entitled Where Worlds Meet: the Mexican-American Experience in Phoenix, 1860-1987. Among the subjects depicted are the Diaz, Silvas, Gaxiola, Rosales, Ortega, and Valencia families; farming; dance; religious ceremonies (including First Communions, weddings, and funerals); graduations; sports; events and officials of the Friendly House; beauty pageants; musicians; and the Festival of Nations.
