Appointments in the Wurzburger Reading Room at Hayden Library (rm. 138) on the Tempe campus are available Tuesday through Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Historical Note
The Center for Asian Studies (CAS) was founded in 1966 in order to promote, coordinate, and support the study of Asia in various of Arizona State University's departments through curricular development, research, symposia, lectures, and publication. The Program for Southeast Asian Studies (PSEAS) was founded in 1986 and operates within CAS. The Center focuses specifically on Japan, China, and Korea. Membership is open to any faculty member or academic professional at ASU studying areas identified as being under CAS's direct concern. The Center also offers undergraduate and graduate Asian certification programs, outreach to K-12 teachers, assistance with study abroad and exchange programs in Asia, and an Asian film series.
