Biographical Note

Margaret Lydia Klann was born to Ernest Hugo and Frieda Wilhelmina (Lafrentz) Klann in Chicago, Illinois on December 30, 1911. She came to Arizona State University in 1945 as an archery instructor and taught until 1976. Klann also founded the National Archery Association College Division, helped to form the Arizona State Archery Association (ASAA), and served as an U.S. Olympic Archery Committee member and on the NAA Board of Governors. She died in Arizona on September 22, 2000.
