Smedley-MacKinnon Collection, 1909-1997
Scope and Contents
This accession houses correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, microfilm, and other materials collected by Stephen MacKinnon during the course of his research on Agnes Smedley. These materials document Smedley's family, early life, education at Tempe Normal School, education and employment at San Diego Normal School, and work as a war correspondent in China. Also included is correspondence between MacKinnon and other Smedley researchers and publishers.
