Materials donated by Gretchen Batialle, who was with ASU from 1988-1994, first as chair of the Department of English and then as Associate Dean in CLAS. During that time she co-chaired the MLK Celebration Week (January 19-25, 1992) with Dr. Albert McHenry. As a part of that celebration, they published the book _Living the Dream in Arizona_ and organized a number of events to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Her donation contains two large files from that celebration week that include many letters to/from key community members and ancillary materials.
