Biographical Note

Beckian Fritz Goldberg was born on May 9, 1954. She earned her B.A. (1981) and M.A. (1984) from Arizona State University and her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Vermont College (1985). She currently teaches in the Creative Writing Program at Arizona State University. Her poetry has won a number of awards, including the Swarthout Creative Writing Award in 1980, 1981, and 1982; the Akron Poetry Prize (1999); and the Field Poetry Prize (1999).
