This collection houses contracts (1924-1931); scripts for such Broadway shows as George White's Manhattan Mary (1928-1929) and Florenz Ziegfeld's Simple Simon (1930); newspaper and magazine clippings; and publicity photographs documenting Dorée Leslie Gordon's dance and theatrical career. About 100 photographs show Dorée Leslie; others, many bearing inscriptions from the sitter, depict her show business associates. Also are included are two scrapbooks dating from 1915 to 1930 and prepared by Mae (Leslie) Golden. They contain photographs, newspaper clippings, and other theatre memorabilia showing Dorée Leslie's career.
