The Joseph and Grace Alexander Papers are comprised of correspondence, account books, journals, scrapbooks, legal papers, stock certificates and printed matter. Although the collection ranges from 1869-1956, the majority of the Joseph's material concerns his legal practice and business affairs from 1895-1930, while the bulk of Grace's papers concern her civic activities from 1910-1950.
