This collection consists of thirteen photographs documenting Miami, Arizona and its surroundings. Among the subjects depicted are Angelina (Chiara) Bairo, Coolidge Dam, Roosevelt Dam, and Miami's Old Dominion Hotel, Fior D'Italia Boarding House, and YMCA building.

Biographical Note

Angelina Chiara was born to Louis and Rose Chiara in Turin, Italy on November 25, 1880. She immigrated to the United States in about 1903 and settled in Arizona in about 1911, where she ran a boarding house in Miami in the 1920s and 1930s. She later lived in Globe. Angelina Chiara married John Battista Bairo and the couple had at least three children, Katherine Rose (Bairo) Kellner (1902-1991), Louis Paul (1906-1998), and Aldo (1911-1996). Angelina Bairo died in Globe on August 25, 1955.
