Scope and Content Note
This collection houses snapshots taken in Walnut Grove (Yavapai County) Arizona showing the James Carter family and primary school students. Also included are images showing the construction of Horse Mesa Dam and the dedication of Coolidge Dam. The Dell Carter mentioned in these images is likely James Carter's sister Della, who attended the Territorial Normal School during the 1899-1900 school year and died in childbirth in 1901 at the age of 19. It is unclear whether the Woolf family is related to the Carters.
