The Dorothy Wirtz Papers contain correspondence, notes, and printed matter documenting Wirtz's career in public service in Arizona. Of particular interest is printed campaign matter discussing public transportation in central Arizona (Box 2, Folder 3); materials showing public education and a legislative referendum on insurance reform (Folder 6); items documenting a proposed measure to control abortion (Folder 7); and printed matter addressing legislative referenda intended to govern insurance, abortion, and the Martin Luther King Day state holiday (Folder 8).
