Series I: Trips: Black Hills and Wolf Creek Past, 1926-1930

Principally snapshots, but some commercial postcards, documenting automobile trips made by the Uplegger family through Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Minnesota. Most images are scenic landscapes and attractions, although some document churches and congregations where Uplegger was a speaker. Many are duplicated in Series II. Most assumed to have been photographed by a member of the Uplegger family, though a few were made by Lucier (Powell, Wyoming), O'Neill Photo Company, and Crandall. 242 photographs; most silver gelatin photographic prints, a few photomechanical postcard prints. Gaps in numbers represent unidentified images.
