Scope and Content Note
The Frank Henry Papers consist of materials documenting the life and career of this Arizona architect/designer and educator. The collection is divided into seven series pertaining to Henry's life, architectural and design practice, teaching, and professional activities and interests such as art. Some series contain sub-series. Materials generally span the period 1955-2013.
Series I: Oversized Materials includes two sub-series: Drawings, Posters, & Photographs and Presentation Boards. Architectural, artistic, and exhibit design related materials are included in both sub-series.
Series II: Architectural Project Files includes mostly textual materials such as correspondence, specifications, color schedules, and other materials related to various projects. These files can also include photos, drawings, sketches, and printed matter.
Series III: Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation/School of Architecture consists of four sub-series related to Henry's teaching career and other activities at this institution. Sub-series are Presentations, Class Materials, Student Work, and Other.
Series IV: Arizona State University contains materials documenting Frank Henry's association with this institution of higher learning, both as a student and alumnus.
Series V: Lectures include documentary materials relating to Frank Henry's presentations in the community, generally outside of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture.
Series VI: Mixed Media includes CDs, DVDs, VHS, slides, negatives, and photos primarily regarding the architectural work of Frank Henry, Frank Lloyd Wright, and others. Much of this information was compiled for presentations and tours. CDs are the predominant format.
Series VII: Other Papers is a compilation of diverse materials including biographical items, correspondence, newsclippings, and other formats related to a variety of topics.
