Scope and Content Note
This collection houses 1,334 images primarily depicting the Robinson family and their work at the Ingleside Inn and San Marcos Resort. The family photographs include images of Grace and William Robinson as babies, Dorothy and Bruce Robinson during childhood; such relatives as Polly Perley, Helen (Robinson) Sartelle, Nancy Perley, Anne M. Perley, and the Fulwiler family; such family friends as the Hearl and Farrish families; and trips to various destinations, including the Apache Trail and San Luis Rey. Images showing the Ingleside Inn include exterior and interior views, the clubhouse, and golf professional Harry Collins. Pictures of the San Marcos Resort include exterior and interior views, guests, golfer J. Witherspoon, and guide Bill Huggett. Also included are images showing the Payne Training School, the Robinson home at 634 N. 3rd Avenue, prominent Arizona citizens, Navajo and Hopi people, and views on the Gila River and McDowell Reservations. Many of these images were used in Dorothy Robinson's books.
