High Lights of my Western Trip

This collection consists primarily of a scrapbook that Lenore Warner describes as a disjointed account with appropriate pictures of some of the most interesting things that I saw or heard about during my trip to and sojurn in Prescott Arizona. She began her trip in La Junta, Colorado and traveled south on the Santa Fe Railroad through the Raton Pass into New Mexico. She continued south to Albuquerque, where she visited the Alvaro Hotel and the Indian Building. She then traveled west through the Pueblo of Isleta, the Pueblo of Laguna, and the Pueblo of Acoma before reaching Arizona's Hells Canyon and then Prescott. She also visited the Grand Canyon, the San Francisco Mountains, the Petrified Forest, the Yavapai County Court House, Montezuma's Well and Castle, Jerome, and Oak Creek Canyon during her trip. Most of the images in the scrapbook are postcards or were clipped from The Great Southwest Along the Santa Fe and other publications, but original black and white photographs of Thumb Butte, Tumacacori Mission, Jerome, and Hells Canyon are also present.

This collection also includes a photograph of Lenore Sturtevant's twin Jessie Irene (Green) Nichols, who was also born on December 7, 1903 and graduated from Tempe Normal School in 1925; a photograph of an unidentified woman; and the Autographs page from a scrapbook.
